Thomas Ehlers, D.P.M.
Hi, I’m Dr. Thomas Ehlers, a podiatrist at Red Rocks Foot & Ankle Center. I’m passionate about providing comprehensive foot and ankle care to my patients. From heel pain and wound care to ankle fractures and reconstructive surgeries, I feel confident addressing a wide range of conditions to help people get back on their feet— literally!
I began my journey in healthcare by studying Integrative Biology at the University of California, Berkeley. I then earned my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where I graduated cum laude. My residency training was at Highlands/Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Denver, Colorado, where I served as Chief Resident in my final year. I’m a board-certified foot surgeon and board-qualified for rearfoot and reconstructive surgery through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. I also serve as Treasurer on the board of the Colorado Foot and Ankle Society and am an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
In addition to my clinical practice, I stay involved in education by mentoring current residents at the Highlands/Presbyterian-St. Luke’s residency program. I also enjoy contributing to research, particularly on topics related to opioid use and pain management after surgery or injury.
When I’m not working, I love spending time outdoors hiking and skiing with my wife. I’m also a big fan of specialty coffee, lifting weights, and staying active.
I look forward to helping you feel your best!
